London Sinfonietta

The Emergence of New York Minimalism
Violin Jonathan Morton

Landmarks is a series in association with the London Sinfonietta that explores pivotal moments and places in the landscape of modern music, through the words of the composers themselves, footage of the composers and of the environment they were working in and images drawn from the time and place of the compositions.

In this concert projection, super 8, live cameras, monitors and reel-to-reels reflected the chaotic, exciting, experimental and underground flavour of downtown concerts in the early 1960's.
